Short explanation

Let the statements be A,B,C,D and E.
Now from Statements A,B,D we know that one of the digit is 2 and well placed(third place).
From statements C and E we know that another digit is 0 and its place is first in the code.
Finally from statement B we now know that 4 is the remaining digit of the code and its place is second in the code.

Detailed explanation

First we know that all possible numbers are : 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8
Now from 4th condition we know that 7, 3 and 8 are not the correct numbers so remaining numbers are : 0, 1, 2, 4 and 6
Now from first and second conditions we also know that 6 is not the possible number, so now the remaining numbers are 0, 1, 2 and 4
Now from third equation we know that two sure numbers are 2 and 0 because 6 is not the possible number. Now from the first equation again we can tell that 2 will be the last number is the code ( * * 2)
Since 2 is the last number in the code, you can read the second equation again and tell the another sure number is 4, so our final numbers are 0, 2 and 4 where 2 will come last.
Now read the third equation again and you will know that 0 cannot be placed in the middle, so it has to be the first number in the code. so our code would be 0 4 2
